There was a point, after over a decade in practice, when Tim found himself asking a difficult question:

“Is this really it?”

Long hours. Endless deadlines. Growing responsibility.

From the outside, it looked like success.

Inside, it felt different.

The pressure of compliance never stopped. Clients expected more but resisted higher fees. 

The work was important, but it was reactive. 

Firefighting. Chasing. Surviving month to month.

And yet Tim knew what good financial leadership looked like.

Earlier in his career, in corporate manufacturing, he had managed budgets exceeding £1bn. 

He had seen how structured, intentional profit strategy created stability, investment power and confidence.

So why were so many small businesses, and so many accounting & bookkeeping practices, operating on stress instead of strength?

That tension became the catalyst.

Tim didn’t just tweak his services. He rethought everything.

He restructured his practice completely.
He changed how he priced.
He changed who he worked with.
He changed the conversations he was willing to have.

It wasn’t comfortable.

Letting go of certain clients.
Charging properly.
Positioning as an adviser instead of a processor.

But it was transformational.

For the first time, the practice felt proactive. Strategic. In control.

And clients didn’t just submit paperwork, they built stronger, more resilient businesses.

For 4 years Tim headed up and led as co-founder and licence holder 

a large membership of accountants & bookkeepers - this ended in March 2026 and....
